dosh is an existing client who came to us eager for change, wanting to be rebranded to appeal to Gen Z’ers and to bring digital innovation, fresh thinking and new ideas to the banking and financial services.
With pastel colours, retro characters, bold typography and a strong charcoal base I created a design language that balanced youthful trends with their ‘Maverick’ archetype.
The characters were developed conceptually between myself and the CD. I then supplied scamps and style references to an illustrator and worked closely with him to deliver the final versions.
Understanding the fatigue that 20 year olds have with traditional advertising, I suggested ways we could engage with them without it feeling like marketing – e.g. Pop up stores or free merch at 'O' Week, hoodies and T’s, street stickers and street art.
The client loved it enough to be tempted beyond their initial comfort zone, a full suite of assets and guidelines were developed and handed over for dosh to work with in house.
